Terraba-Sierpe National Wetlands includes the estuary of the Rivers Térraba and Sierpe. It is one of the largest mangrove wetlands in all of Central America and serves as an important habitat of many species of birds, fish, mammals and reptiles. The tour departs from Terraba and enters the intricate mangrove wetlands allowing visitors an intimate magical experience with some of mother nature its most interesting flora and fauna. Departure time depends on tide conditions.

Comfortable clothing, strap sandals, hiking or sneakers shoes, mosquito repellent, sunblock, sunglasses, raincoat or poncho, binoculars, camera, plastic bags, extra water bottle, set of extra clothes, and a towel. And don’t forget your prescribed medicine if you take any.
