The architecture of the hotel is inspired by the pre-Columbian construction techniques of the area, used by the natives for more than 1000 years. The ranches or round palenques are covered with traditional palm roofs. This structure of palenques is central to the concept of Sarapiquí: the history of nature and its relationship with humanity. The circular design symbolizes the circle of life, an intricate link between the rainforest biodiversity cycles.
All rooms are surrounded by the lush gardens and orchards of the property. Many of the rooms have a spectacular view of the forest canopy, while others are sheltered by aromatic and colorful gardens. With a harmonious decoration in earth tones, limestone and antique or handmade furniture, guests can enjoy comfortable beds, private bathroom, ceiling or A / C fans and safe deposit boxes. Outside each room, a covered terrace invites guests to enjoy the proximity of the forest.
Guests can choose a delicious meal inspired by local and vegetarian cuisine in a buffet decorated with exotic flowers and fruits. Every day the chef creates delicious meals with fresh ingredients such as pineapple, banana, oranges and palm heart. As a unique touch, the restaurant introduces spices used by the indigenous peoples of pre-Columbian times. With pleasure our chef will explain its use and meaning.
