Within hiking distance of the western edge of Corcovado National Park, Danta Corcovado Lodge is located 40 minutes north from Puerto Jimenez Airstrip and 25 minutes from the calm waters of Golfo Dulce. An ideal place for those who want to explore the wildest area of Corcovado National Park.
Danta Corcovado Lodge is reminiscent of an Adirondacks camp, with creatively designed twig chairs and headboards, twisted-branch windows, and furniture made of leftover tree stumps. With its 6 non-smoking stand-alone bungalows, delicious traditional Costa Rican meals and an array of activities off the beaten path, this 100% family run lodge aspires to be the leader in rural tourism in the Osa Peninsula, a model of local development and example of conservation of natural resources, creative design and sustainable development.
Bungalows are set further in the forest, 250 meters from the main lodge. These units feature either a full size canopy bed or two Queen beds, private enclosed garden bathroom, ceiling fan, screened twisted branch windows, mosquito net on beds and a small terrace with chairs and hammock.
Meals are authentic Costa Rican dishes prepared with what is in season. Homemade bread, dairy products, vegetables and fruits are bought to local farmers.
