Corcovado National Park has one of the highest levels of biodiversity in the world. So come and experience this tropical rainforest like no other, than trekking through some of the most incredible flora and fauna of this National park.
Day 1: Osa Peninsula

Arrive to Puerto JimÃnez our staging area. Then transfer along beautiful remote beaches and through rainforest to Carate, the wildest and most remote region on the mainland. Where else can you wake up in the rainforest with the sound of waves crashing only steps away- Overnight: La Leona Tent Camp or similar. (Dinner)
Day 2: Corcovado National Park
:
Corcovado National Park has one of the highest levels of biodiversity in the world. The park contains a fourth of the tree species of Costa Rica also protects over 400 species of birds, 116 species of amphibians and reptilesand 139 mammals. We will depart early in the morning to begin the long, hot hike through the forest where monkeys play in the trees above our heads and ant bears can be seen through the bushes and along the beautiful sandy beach. Hiking time is approximately six hours Overnight: Sirena Shelter at Corcovado National Park (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Day 3: Sirena Ranger Station
:
Your base camp overlooks a spectacular, wild tropical beach surrounded by a vast rain forest wilderness. Habitat of jaguar, tapir, squirrel monkey, peccaries and a healthy population of scarlet macaws. Today you hike and explore the surrounding environment including a nightwalk with flashlights in search of nocturnal wildlife. Overnight: Sirena Shelter at Corcovado National Park (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Day 4: Puerto Jimenez
:
We will depart early in the morning to begin the long, hot hike through dense rainforest. Hiking time is approximately six hours and once we arrive at National Park exit, then we will be transported to Puerto JimÃnez. Overnight: Agua Luna Hotel or similar. (Breakfast)

What to Bring:
- Clothing: Costa Rica is a very informal and casual country. Formal attire is only used in the city of San Jose and on very special occasions (Weddings, birthdays, anniversaries)
- We recommend to bring a sweater for the highland areas, and light loose fitting shirts, pants or jeans, and shorts for the lowland areas.
- For the beach areas please don't forget to bring a hat or cap, sunscreen, and sun glasses.
- For the rainforest and the National Parks we recommend hiking boots, a small backpack, water bottle, pocket knife, flashlight, insect repellent, rainwear, and a pair of binoculars to observe animals.
