Hotel Grano de Oro features thirty-seven rooms in three categories as well as three signature suites. No two rooms are alike; each offers its own unique charm, but elegant décor and thoughtful amenities are standard throughout. All rooms are furnished in Tropical Victorian style with wrought-iron beds and rich damask fabrics.
Each room boasts a direct-dial telephone, cable TV, fully stocked mini-bar and safe. The room classification is as follow:
Standard: Ten Standard rooms which offer cozy quarters with one queen size bed and private bathroom with shower.
Superior: Six Superior rooms have one queen bed with showers in the bath and are somewhat larger than the standard rooms.
Deluxe: Twenty one most spacious rooms, deluxe have various bed configurations: queen/twin, two queens or king only as well as bathtub/shower combinations.
Family Suite: A very large two-bedroom suite – one room with queen bed, the second with a queen and a twin bed. Central bathroom.
Garden Suite: A spacious suite with a Jacuzzi tub in the bathroom as well as a small sitting room, which opens to a private tropical garden.
Vista de Oro Suite: (one of a kind) The hotel’s showplace, this magnificent suite features Tropical Victorian designs at its finest and a panoramic view of the Central Valley skyline. An in-room Jacuzzi allows for private stargazing.

Paseo Colon, San Jose
From the airport take the Interamerican Highway to San José. You will arrive to the western edge of the downtown, right at the end of Paseo Colon. This area is well marked with large road signs, which will either direct you to the downtown (Centro) or the western suburbs of Pavas, and Escazu. If you're heading toward downtown, just follow the flow of traffic and turn left on Paseo Colon. The hotel is at Calle (Street) 30 #251, between avenues 2 and 4, 1 ½ blocks (150 meters) south of Paseo Colon which is San Jose’s main thoroughfare.
