The restaurant offers different typical plates from Guanacaste: ''gallo pinto'' (rice and beans), homemade tortillas, sweet plantains, fresh cheese, garden salads, vegetable stews, natural fruit juices and more.

Cabins Plated in Flat Stone: 16 cabins built in rows plated inside and outside with flat stone, located in front of the swimming pool. I n these cabins you can choose single or double beds; all of them have their own bathroom and hot water; In addition to this, there are 5 cabins with the same characteristics located near the lake but independent one from the other.

Cabins Made in Wood ("La Hacienda"): 22 cabins built in rows all made in wood. All of these cabins have two double beds, a bathroom and hot water. They are located near the swimming pool, bar and restaurants.

Cabins in "El Lago": cabins in "el lago": 26 cabins located in front of the lake with a spectacular view towards the Guanacaste plains, Pacific Coast and the Rincon de la Vieja Volcano. These cabins have two double beds, a bathroom, and hot water. El Lago Restaurant and massage parlours are near them.

"Las Cabanas": 12 log cabins located two hundred meters from a viewpoint where you can see the Guanacaste plains, Culebra Bay in the Pacific Coast and on the West coast the Rincon de la Vieja Volcano from the front porch. All of these cabins have one double bed and one individual bed, a bathroom, and hot water. They are independent one from the other and offer the visitors privacy.

Buena Vista is a cattle raising Hacienda that changed part of its activity to dedicate itself to ecologic tourism in a rustic environment conserving the idiosyncrasy and culture of the zone.

It is located 31kms from Liberia and it borders with the National Park Rincon de la Vieja. It has an area of approximately 2,000 acres, 1,400 of which are intended to regenerate the forest and were adventure activities take place, always protecting the environment. The remaining 600 acres are dedicated to cattle raising and the ranch produces the majority of the products that the Lodge consumes.

How To Get There

From San Jose, drive to Liberia on the Interamerican Highway. From the main intersection in Liberia (you'll notice the three gas stations and Burger King), drive north towards the Nicaraguan border. Pass the entrance to Curubande/Rincon de la Vieja National Park and continue North on the highway until you find the sign of Canas Dulces. Turn right at this sign and follow the signs to Buena Vista Lodge.
