What to bring

Costa Rica is an extremely casual, adventure-oriented country. There will be no need for sports jackets or dressy attire. You may find one or two pair of long pants to be sufficient as you will most likely spend most of your time in shorts, casual shirts and sandals. Be sure to pack comfortable walking shoes and a light jacket for cool evenings. You will be visiting rainforest destinations so you might expect afternoon showers (During the months of May through November mainly). Dont forget your bathing suit and sun-screen. While mosquitoes are not typically a nuisance, you might want to pack a small bottle of repellent. Bring all your favorite toiletry items (shampoo, aspirin, medications, etc.) with you as these are not readily available in these remote destinations.
