Our New San Jose VIP Fast Track Access
Our new Arrival VIP Fast Track Access combines priority access through the airport’s main control points with professional baggage assistance inside the terminal.
This fast-track service complements our VIP Meet & Greet Service.
On arrival, your guests fast-track access at immigration and customs. On departure, the service includes priority access at immigration. Our team accompanies them through the terminal, helps with their luggage, and escorts them directly to their waiting premium vehicle, where water and snacks are prepared. From there, they are driven comfortably to their first destination, marking the true start of their vacation.
The service is available for international arrivals and departures at San Jose’s Juan Santa Maria Airport. Assistance can also be arranged for travellers with reduced mobility.
It is especially useful during peak travel periods, when lines are longer, as well as for private groups, VIP clients, families managing several bags, and travellers who could benefit from extra help inside the airport.
For advisors, it is an easy addition to explain: less time waiting, less luggage to manage, and a more comfortable start or finish to the trip.
Training for our Guides
The green-season months give us time to bring our guides back for practical training and certification.
This year, every guide renewed their Emergency Care and Basic First Aid certification. The training covered CPR, choking response, bleeding and wound care, evacuation procedures, fire extinguisher use, and how to recognize medical emergencies including heat-related illness, seizures, heart attacks, and snakebites.
Guides—along with the rest of our team—took part in specialist workshops covering Costa Rican archaeology, pre-Columbian societies, volcanology, mountain safety, migration history, and the ecosystems of Guanacaste.
Working with the National Museum, they studied how archaeological evaluations are carried out before land development and how to explain both findings and visitor-access restrictions. A workshop with the Jade Museum explored the migration of the Nahua, or Nicarao, peoples into Costa Rica’s North Pacific and their influence on the region.
Volcanology training covered the types of volcanic activity found in Costa Rica, how volcanoes are monitored by OVSICORI and the National Seismological Network, and how guides should manage visits near craters and hazard zones.
A mountaineering workshop focused on route planning, weather, essential equipment, altitude sickness, group management, and emergency procedures in remote areas. Guides also completed field training in Guanacaste’s tropical dry forest and wetlands with ecosystem specialist Margherita Botazzi.
These sessions give guides more than extra facts to share. They help them answer questions accurately, explain sites without simplifying the history, recognize safety concerns, and adjust an outing when conditions change.
For your guests, that means a better explanation at an archaeological site, a safer mountain hike, or a clearer understanding of the forest, wetland, or volcano in front of them.
We are always looking for ways to improve our guests’ experience.
Our new VIP Fast-Track Service at San Jose Airport and continued guide training help us maintain the high standard of service your guests expect.
