Mawamba Lodge has a unique and privileged location in the exquisite and always green channels of Tortuguero and National Park. Nestled in a strip of land, between the Caribbean Sea and the Tortuguero canals, where the surroundings are mixed with natural wealth, to welcome you in this tropical sanctuary. The experience in Mawamba is casual, Caribbean-style, and can be as adventurous as you wish. From silent and gentle boat trips to discover the jungle, to adrenaline-filled activities such as kayak excursions and night explorations. It is suitable for the traveler of all ages, where children learn to appreciate and enjoy the beauty of natural resources, where couples who enjoy nature, will have a romance discovering unique experiences and where families can experience a wonderful tropical time .
Standard: built in fine woods, and surrounded by views towards the tropical gardens, they have a king size, queen size or single bed according to the request, ceiling fan, outside porch with hammocks and rocking chairs, safe, bathroom with shower and hot water.
Superior: located towards the end of the property. These rooms have a refreshing view of the canals, have a king size bed, safe, ceiling fan, table and 2 chairs, hair dryer, outside porch with hammocks and rocking chairs.
El Mamba Restaurant:is located by the pool and near the entrance to the beach, here all meals included in the package are served, buffet style, and under the following schedule: Breakfast 7:30 a.m. - 9:00 a.m., lunch from 12:30 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. and dinner from 7:30 a.m. at 9:00 a.m.
Katonga Floating Restaurant: it offers lunches and dinner on board, while deliciously and refreshingly it travels through the Tortuguero canals (extra cost and only on reservation). Katonga offers space for up to 36 people.
Chelonia Bar: located in front of the pool area, and next to the open project of red-eyed frogs. It offers tropical cocktails, drinks of all kinds, as well as smoothies and coffee.

Package price includes: - 2 nights at Mawamba Lodge - Full Board starting with breakfast along the way the first day and ending with lunch the third day along the way. (3 breakfast, 3 lunches & 2 dinners) - Roundtrip minibus/boat transfer San Jose – Tortuguero – San Jose. Transfers are seat-in-bus basis. Private transfers can be arranged at an additional cost. Please add 2020: $62 / 2021: $64 per person for additional transfer (roundtrip) from/to hotels outside San Jose like Xandari, Finca Rosa Blanca, Bougainvillea, Alta. - Visit to the town of Tortuguero, 1 boat tour through the canals & 1 guided hike at hotels property - National Park entrance fee - Local English-speaking guide - For flight costs please go to local flights. When clients take a flight back they only do have a light breakfast and lunch in not included on the last day.
