This trip will take you deep into the Gandoca Manzanillo National Park, the last hidden rainforest in southern Costa Rica.
We will do a loop hiking in and riding a boat out. First you will be driven to the last village in the Southern Caribbean, Manzanillo . There we will hike for two hours(5.5 kms.) in this amazing habitat . The trail runs pararel to the beach, awarding our effort with amazing views of jungle and sea .Our guide will cheerfully share his knowledge of the forest with us delivering quality information about the abundant wildlife as well as the history, native peoples and development of the area.
Near noon we will arrive to the very remote Punta Mona Organic Farm to have lunch and learn about this hands on self sufficient community. Their environmental way of thinking and their practices have a lot to teach.
The 40 minutes boat ride back to Manzanillo is one of the highlights of the trip. The views are how of sea and jungle. With a bit of luck we might spot some dolphins. Please take note that this trip takes you to one of the prettiest corners of our country.
