La Muralla Private Reserve Hiking Back

This is our private forest reserve, 28 mountain hectares next to the Irazu, Turrialba and Braulio Carrillo National Parks so it requires a great physical effort regarding other trips.
This tour starts in 2800 meters above the sea level, descending to 1300, in a hiking with views of the diversity of flora and fauna of the place. In these lower areas you can watch the Capuccin Monkey and “Palmitos”.
The return is an ascent and there you can find different species of flora, like “Aguacatillo” and animals like jaguarundis, quetzales, pizotes and the well-known gavilan colirojo.
This tour is practically a complete day and guided by a “vaqueano”, a local man that know very well the area. This tour includes a mid-morning snack and lunch.
