Birds that may be spotted include the crested-mandible toucan, ornate hawk-eagle, red-lored amazon, red-capped manakin, sulpher-winged parakeet, broad-billed motmot, collared aracari, lineated woodpecker, great green and scarlet macaws, great curassow, white-necked jacobin, violaceous trogan, Montezuma oropendola, green ibis, green-and-rufous kingfisher, yellow-crowned night heron, and northern boat-billed heron, among others.
