Day 01 Arrival - Granada :
Pick up at the International airport in Managua or the border between Costa Rica and Nicaragua, Peñas Blancas. Transfer to Granada for your first nights in Nicaragua

Built by the Spanish conquistadors in 1524, Granada is the best place for tourism because of its beauty and colonial architecture, charming hotels and activities to enjoy nearby; Lake Nicaragua and the islands, Mombacho volcano with its natural reserve, Masaya and its folklore.

Overnight at Hotel Patio Malinche, standard room.Breakfast included.

Day 02 Granada City Tour :
We will visit the San Francisco Convent and Church founded in 1524, houses and archeological treasures from Isla Zapatera, a primitive art exhibit and historical display. Transport by horse - drawn carriages.
Cemetery: Enormous colonial graves. Tombs more than 400 years old with marble statues.
La Polvora Fort: A warehouse built in 1748 to keep gunpowder. We will visit its old towers, which give you a beautiful view of the city.
Xalteva Church and walls: Here the Spaniards met the Indigenous Xalteva population, from which it gets its name. This is the most antique part of Granada. The church was built during colonial times and because of its location, it was also used as a military fort.
We also visit the Cathedral and Central Park

Day 03 Masaya and the Pueblos :
This tour start in the city of Masaya. You will discover the First National Park created in Nicaragua, the active Masaya Volcano, as well as its small museum dedicated to the volcano's history. Then you will visit the finest Handicraft Market where you can enjoy the creativity and variety of Nicaraguan art at bargain prices.

Continue to Catarina where you will enjoy delicious lunch with a magnificent view on the Apoyo lagoon, Mombacho volcano, Granada and Lake Nicaragua. Late afternoon, visit San Juan de Oriente, famous for its ceramic arts.

Day 04 Morgan´s Rock :
Private transfer to the Morgan Rock

Morgan's Rock is part of the green movement with our tree farming, conservation and reforestation projects that extends over 1,800 hectares. Located just 20 minutes north of San Juan del Sur, we pride ourselves on our eco-friendly daily operations and lifestyle. We want to keep establishing ourselves as the pioneers of the Ecotourism in Nicaragua and Central America in this luxury beach, while providing a first class service to our guests

Day 05 The Magic of Reforestation :
Leave the lodge in one of our vehicles after breakfast at 8:00 am.Learn and experience the process of reforestation from the planting of the seed to harvest.
Learn about deforestation on a global level and how reforestation efforts can help.

Plant a tree in the Morgan's Rock tropical dry forest reserve and have a picture taken with you. Over the next years, we will keep sending you pictures of the development of your tree. Duration 3 hours.

Rest of the day free to relax and enjoy the surroundings.

Overnight at Morgans Rock, one bungalow. All meals included.

Day 06 Breakfast at the Farm - Riverbed Nature Walk :
Breakfast on the Farm; food does not grow in supermarkets. Most of the products that we serve at Hacienda Morgan's Rock are produced on our Haciendas and you have the opportunity to learn all about it. This is called 'Agro tourism.' Rise early and depart the hotel on a horseback or horse carriage. Milking the cows, picking up eggs and preparing a typical hearty breakfast at the house of the animal caretaker is the first part of the tour. We then visit all the animals, the various fields of rice, beans, and vegetables and finish with a visit to the butterfly farm and the flower gardens.

You return to the hotel after a visit to the fruit trees and a sampling of the fruits in season. Duration 2 1/2 hours including breakfast.

Riverbed Nature Walk
This hike is offered in the morning and afternoon.. Leave the lodge after lunch (2 pm) and explore the various ecosystems and forests that Hacienda Morgan's Rock offers. See monkeys, tropical birds, reptiles and other dry forest animals while hiking through dry riverbeds and nature trails. Learn about the different kind of plants and trees found in the nature reserve. Duration 2 hours.

Overnight at Morgans Rock, one bungalow. All meals included

Day 07 Departure :
Transfer to the International airport in Managua or Peñas Blancas border back to Costa Rica.
End of services.
