Day 1 Arrival - Managua
:
Arrival at the International airport in Managua. Meet and greet by one of our representatives, transfer will be provided to the hotel for your first night in Nicaragua.
Overnight at Angel Azul or similar , standard room. Breakfast included.
Day 2 Sand boarding
:
The extreme sport, Volcano Boarding (Sand boarding), born in Nicaragua, is being offered at Cerro Negro active volcano. Accompanied by a Guide / Instructor you will climb Cerro Negro.
Upon arrival at the top you will receive a short exploratory tour of this young but impressive volcano. Standing on top of this volcano, you will have an immense view over a great part of the volcanic chain Los Maribios. After a short technical training you will make a short test run inside the crater of Cerro Negro. After an optional photo shoot, technical evaluation and possible additional training, you will make your way to the outer rim of the crater. After some final explanations you will Volcano Board all the way down to the base of Cerro Negro, after which you will be transferred back to the colonial city of Leon.

Day 3 Telica Volcano Tour
:
Another active volcano in Nicaragua is the Telica. The most recent and sudden eruption was in 1948, but have reported other less intense. Telica volcano is continuously emitting gas and ash and lava can be seen at the bottom of the crater. The area around the volcano suffers from volcanic activity. Accompanying the Telica are other craters and hot springs are believed to San Jacinto are connected to the volcano. With a height of 1.061 meters, Telica is not as high as San Cristobal, which makes the climb less difficult. The slopes are so steep nor so the difficulty of the climb lies in the path of travel. There is no path to the foot of the volcano, so you have to walk a bit before you arrive. The surroundings are pretty dry and tropical settings. Free afternoon to walk around and visit the main churches, the Cathedral (hike the tower to get an amazing view of the city and volcanoes), as well as a magnificent Art Gallery with painting from Europe and Central America, distributed in 2 colonial houses.

Day 4: Granada & Night Tour Masaya Volcano

Drive south to reach Granada, the nicest colonial city of Nicaragua.
Built by the Spanish conquistadors in 1524, Granada is the best place for tourism because of its beauty and colonial architecture, charming hotels and activities to enjoy nearby; Lake Nicaragua and the islands, Mombacho volcano with its natural reserve, Masaya and its folklore.
Walk around the city and enjoy delicious lunch on your own at “ La Calzada”
Around 4:00pm depart to Masaya Volcano where you will watch parrots returning to their unusual home: Santiago`s active crater. Take a walk into the heart of the earth through lava tubes while three different species of bats fly over your head. Learn about the history, geology and ecology of this particular volcano

Day 5 Mombacho Volcano Adventure (Canopy & Natural Reserve)

Enjoy nature by having the experience of your life. This complete combo gives you the opportunity to enjoy some highlights of Nicaragua in only one day by going to the exhilarating adventure of climbing above the canopy of the tropical forest and slide down from one platform to another, while enjoying close contact with nature.
After a delicious lunch you will visit the Mombacho Volcano Natural Reserve, covered by an exuberant typical nature of tropical Rain Forest and a singular dwarf forest where you will admire the flora and fauna and the majestic crater at an altitudeof 1.345 meters above sea level.

Day 06 Rincón de la Vieja
:
After breakfast, transfer back Peñas Blancas (Costa Rica border). Continue to to Rincon de la Vieja National.
This park is named after the active Rincon de la Vieja Volcano. Being one of the most accessible volcanoes of the area, you can reach the numerous cones, craters, and lagoons either on horseback or by foot. In here you will also find fumaroles and boiling mud pools, steam vents, and sulfurous hot springs with therapeutic properties. Various tours are offered outside the park including canopy, horseback, hiking, and birding tours.

Day 07 Horseback riding at Rincón de la Vieja National Park
:
You leave from the hacienda stables on a trail through tropical dry woods. A part of the trail leads through reforested area. The hotel has about 1.25 square miles reserved as reforestation area in which are grown species threatened by extinction. In these surroundings you can see a great variety of birds, mammals, reptiles etc. At the property of the hacienda we seek trails of interest of flora and fauna and sightseeing spots instead of paved roads. On our calm and friendly horses we take you on a 45 minute trip to the National Park main gate, where we have to leave our horses, as we are only allowed to enter the park by foot.
At the park we take the “Las Pailas” track and when we finish the walking part, the horses are waiting to take us back to the Hacienda

Day 08 Arenal
:
Today you will be picked up at your hotel and you will be provided with a shutle bus transfer to the Arenal volcano area.
Late afternoon visit to the trails of El Silencio and the volcanic thermal mineral pools at Tabacón Hot Springs is included. Arenal Volcano is breathtaking after dark when its thundering explosions and bursts of glowing rock light the night sky.

Day 9 Arenal Hanging Bridges (B-D)
:
Located in a 250 hectare (618 acre) reserve of primary forest. Visitors will walk through 15 bridges from 5 to 100 meters long, along 3 km rain forest circuit of trails built with paving blocks to prevent slipping. Tour is guided by a naturalist, who will open the doors of a fascinating and colorful Tropical Rain Forest world. The imposing vistas of the Volcano from the hanging bridges over the forest, make a perfect combination for an unforgettable experience.
