Day 01 Arrival - Leon :
Arrival at the International airport in Managua. Meet and greet by one of our representatives, transfer will be provided to Leon, one of the main colonial cities in Nicaragua.

The city of Leon is located northeast at 93 Kilometres from Managua You will see its colonial legacy in most of its old or antique buildings and churches .The first place you should visit is, the Cathedral, considered as the most important and outstanding colonial building in Central America.

Overnight at El Convento or similar, standard room. Breakfast included.

Day 02 Isla Juan Venado & Mangrove Forest :
Knowing, visiting and enjoying the natural reserve of Juan Venado is one of the most unique experiences that Nicaragua has to offer. During the trip to the island (by motorboat), you will meet a variety of exotic birds, mammals, crabs and other Species, slowly navigating between the mangroves, which aretypical for this zone. You will visit a beautiful secluded virgin beach, with the opportunity to swim. If you are lucky, you will encounter crocodiles and the impressive Paslama Sea Turtle (only in season: August[February).

Overnight at El Convento or similar, standard room. Breakfast included.

Day 03 Montibelli Dry Forest & Reserve. :
After breakfast transfer to the Sierra Managua mountain range and the old coffee hacienda and private natural reserve of Montibelli. Lunch in the reserve, in the afternoon hike with your guide in the several trails specially designed for nature lovers.

This family owned paradise for birds like the Long-Tailed Manakin and the Turquoise-Browed Mot Mot and virtual rainbow of butterflies. Dinner at the hacienda house and lodging in private cabin. The reserve lies on Managuaás sierra and its altitude ranges from 360 to 720 meters above sea level. Most of the area is covered with tropical dry forest, and many different types of animals and plants inhabit the reserve.

Day 04 Bird Watching in Montibelli :
After breakfast, we will go for a Bird watching tour. In company of your local expert hike in the forest, enjoy of this unique biodiversity and Natural History that can be found in Montibelli.

Not only can you find woodpeckers, hummingbirds, parrots, vultures, hawks, golden orioles, and motmots (the national bird); the reserve is also inhabited by an impression population of trogons. Go with your specialized guide to discover this amazing place and inhabitants.

Day 05 Granada :
Transfer to Granada arriving in the nicest colonial city of Nicaragua. Built by the Spanish conquistadors in 1524, Granada is the best place for tourism because of its beauty and colonial architecture, charming hotels and activities to enjoy nearby; Lake Nicaragua and the islands.

Afternoon Bird Watching on Lake Nicaragua. Bird lovers will have the choice to spend 3 hours observing the amazing range of local and migrating birds right on the Peninsula of Asese of Lake Nicaragua on a fascinating electric and ecological boat closer, without noise and pollution left behind you, to discover bird habitat and to take the best photographs in the best conditions.

Free evening to enjoy Granada's nightlife . Lots of restaurants and bars are available.

Day 06 Ometepe Island :
Take an unforgettable journey to one of the most beautiful places of Nicaragua. Ometepe Island, the biggest island of the world on a fresh water lake. The excursion starts by heading towards the southern part of the country, getting to San Jorge's port where we will take a ferry that will take us to Ometepe, where you will be able to enjoy spectacular views and one of the most impressive ones of all Nicaragua. We will visit places like the, the Green Puddle's lagoon, Santo Domingo beach, and “Ojo de agua” water springs.
Overnight at Hotel San Juan de la Isla, standard rooms. Breakfast included.

Day 07 Waterfall San Ramón :
This cascade is 1 of the most breathtaking attractions the island has to offer. Crystalline water flows over the edge of a 140 meter high steep cliff, which is surrounded by the lush vegetation of a transition forest.

Free afternoon to enjoy the beach and relax swimming in Lake Nicaragua in front of the Hotel.

Overnight at Hotel San Juan de la Isla, standard rooms. Breakfast included.

Day 08 Departure :
Transfer back to Peñas Blancas Costa Rica Border or Managua

Enjoy nature and help the environment taking a green tour in Costa Rica.
