Meet and greet at Juan Santamaría International Airport by our representative in San Jose and transfer to the Hotel Britannia. Check in at Hotel Britannia.

Hotel Britannia is located in Barrio Amón an historic neighborhood of architectural beauty. Built in 1910, Britannia regales guests with its balance of elegant and natural style. It's high ceilings, archways with stained glass, mosaic tile floors, and English-style furniture make an exquisite contrast with the surrounding tropical gardens.

Transfer to our office to pick up bikes, get ready and start your trip riding across the primary jungle of the Braulio Carrillo National Park, the only park in Costa Rica that is crossed by paved road!
Once passing this gorgeous mountain we will reach the low lands of the Caribbean area, with its banana, and pineapple plantation. Once we reach the coast we ride along the ocean to reach the small lazy town of Puerto Viejo. Check in at Hotel Cariblue

Cariblue is a small distinctive bed & breakfast resort located in Puerto Viejo, Talamanca in the province of Limon. Puerto Viejo is a rustic and charming town whose people are very relaxed and friendly. The town's night life includes discos with Caribbean music, fun "chill out" bars and an array of International and local cuisine restaurants.

Early start riding to the south border of Costa Rica. Once we get to the Sixaola border, we must cross the famous railroad bridge; sometimes we will have to descend of the bike and cross the bridge pushing or bikes through the rails and sometimes missing wood platform of the bridge, quite an adventure!

We cross border, if we are lucky we will do the paper work fast enough to continue again along the Caribbean coast of Panama through a great curvy road, then continue inland to reach the coffee fields of Boquete. Check in at Hotel Panamonte.

The Panamonte Inn & Spa is famous for its gracious hospitality, antique charm and exquisite cuisine. Early in the morning we will head back the same old road towards Costa Rica via the town of Volcán, until we reach Golfito, Costa Rica's most southern port town located across from the Osa Peninsula on the Golfo Dulce. Known to surfers as the gateway to Pavones and to sport fishermen for all year great offshore fishing!

Casa Roland Marina Resort is located in the well known Zona Americana of Golfito; a destination known for some of the best Sport Fishing in the South Pacific and very close to the Corcovado National Park.

Drive to Dominical Beach, a surfer's paradise with 4 km long beach strip, with a few hotels, lodges, resorts and restaurants in the area. With its stunning backdrop of lush green forests and palm tress, this beach is also a great place to bird watch or take a canopy tour of the surrounding locale.

The hotel is perched upriver from the pristine Dominical beach on an exquisitely landscaped property adrift in clouds of orchids and surrounded by impressive tropical forests. Dominical is a village (pueblo) of approximately 500 people with small restaurants and stores.

We leave the town and we ride through a nice winding road and reach the little border crossing of Rio Sereno, a not any more so typical border, very rural but fast enough to continue to San Vito and descend to the Pan-American highway north, crossing the pineapple, sugar and coffee fields in Buenos Aires and continue to the town of San Isidro, from here we will ascend the Cerro de la Muerte (Hill of Death), famous for the fog and curvy road.

We reach San Gerardo de Dota, a small town midst in the cloud forest. Check in at Dantica Lodge

Dantica is a cloud forest lodge and gallery with Latin American indigenous art, located in San Gerardo de Dota, Costa Rica. All the rooms offer a spectacular view of the valley with its cloud forest covered mountains. A walking trail system provides access to the nearby nine hectare cloud forest, only 50 meters away.

Continue to Turrialba passing the sugar and coffee fields of the area. Check in at Casa Turire.

We continue our trip leaving behind the hill and its wonderful views of the cloud forest via the old capital of Costa Rica to reach Cartago; we continue and ascend to the Irazu Volcano using a nice winding road going up to the top. Then we will descend to Turrialba through the sugar and coffee fields of the area to continue to the Caribbean area to reach once again the other town of Puerto Viejo de Sarapiqui. Check in at La Quinta Lodge.

Today an early rafting at the Sarapiqui river and explore the beautiful wildlife or the area. This tour takes you through a beautiful part of the river filled with exciting white water rapids and beautiful ponds, all surrounded by a wonderful natural scenery.

In the afternoon continue with our bikes to the Arenal volcano. Check in at Arenal Paraiso

What to Bring:


  • Riders: Bring helmet, riding gear, jacket, leather boots, and a valid motorcycle drivers license
  • Clothing: Costa Rica is a very informal and casual country. Formal attire is only used in the city of San Jose and on very special occasions (Weddings, birthdays, anniversaries)
  • We recommend to bring a sweater for the highland areas, and light loose fitting shirts, pants or jeans, and shorts for the lowland areas.
  • For the beach areas please don't forget to bring a hat or cap, sunscreen, and sun glasses
  • For the rainforest and the National Parks we recommend hiking boots, a small backpack, water bottle, pocket knife, flashlight, insect repellent, rainwear, and a pair of binoculars to observe animals.
