Within walking distance guests can visit the rainforest through a network of trails and explore an extensive variety of birds and flora.
For breakfast the farmhouse kitchen offers homemade bread, granola, jam and jellies, milk and cheese from the farm`s dairy, fresh fruit juices, exotic fruits and eggs. Lunch is available in a lunch box and for dinner the hotel offers the best of traditional and International food which is freshly prepared with aromatic herbs from the backyard.
The hotel offers: The Lodge comprises of eleven charming and comfortable bedrooms, including a luxurious master suite with a sunken stone bathtub.
The rooms have ensuite bathrooms and some accommodate more than two people.
They are situated in groups both within and around the impressive farmhouse and have a luxury rustic flavour with stone walls, wood panelling, soft lighting and comfortable beds.
They each have private access to the garden which affords an impressive view to the volcano, and most are within a few metres of the rainforest and pastures surrounding the Lodge.

Poas Volcano Lodge is nestled into the rolling pastures and the cloudy rainforest at the foothills of the Poás Volcano, one of the worlds largest active craters. The impressive views from the lodge include not only the volcano, but also the western area of the spectacular Braulio Carrillo National Park as well as the Caribbean plains. The cozy lodge and dairy farm features a tasteful interior decoration: an english cottage design with Costarican accents; stone walls, wooden beamed ceilings and dramatic arches.
During the morning guests will wake up with the smell of premium coffee and enjoy a unique farmhouse breakfast with baked goodies, jams, fresh cheese, tortillas and fruits while hearing the birds singing.

From the International Airport, turn right out of the airport exit towards San Jose and almost immediately right again to double back towards Alajuela. Follow this road straight though the middle of the town and follow signs to Poas Volcano. Climb up the mountain and pass San Isidro, Fraijanes Lagoon and the Chubasco Restaurant. At the T junction by the Jaulares restaurant, turn right to Poasito and after 5 km, at the Churrasco restaurant junction, turn right again to Vara Blanca. After 6 km you will see a sign to Poas Volcano Lodge on your left. Turn into the Cortijo Farm and after 800 mts you will arrive to Poás Volcano Lodge.
