How to get there: You drive the Panamerican Highway # 1 via Alajuela, San Ramon, Puntarenas, At the Puntarenas intersection continue the road north towards Liberia. At kilometer 133 you will find the road to Sardinal on your right. Take that road up the mountains and you will reach Monteverde.
Another entrance will be continuing the Panamerican Highway passing the Sardinal entrance, to the kilometer 149. Just before the bridge at Lagarto River turn right, this gravel road will lead you also to Santa Elena and Monteverde.
