Hotel Don Fadrique is a traditional family run establishment which combines the amenities of a grand hotel with the intimacy and the personalized service of a boutique inn. It is located in Los Yoses, San José's "Embassyland", a quiet upscaled garden area of mansions set in tree-lined streets, only a 10 minute walk from downtown and a few blocks from the University of Costa Rica campus. The hotel is an elegant 2 story villa style residence set in flourishing tropical gardens which display a wide range of flora: heliconias, orchids, bromelias and palms which lay around fountains and a spreading mango tree. The hotel's central garden is a perfect setting for an Al Fresco invigorating breakfast that will prepare guests for an exciting day either at the cultural sites close to the hotel (Jade Museum, Gold Museum, Central Market, Teatro Nacional among others) or at one of the many natural attractions of Costa Rica.

The hotel's 20 spacious rooms have been individually decorated with original art and soft tropical accents and most of them offer either views of the green gardens or of the peaks of the Central Mountain Range.
Standard rooms: private bathroom, queen size beds with orthopedic mattresses, 24 channel cable TV, safety deposit box, ceiling fan, room service, secluded gardens (available in certain rooms).
