Hotel Bula Bula’s restaurant, The Great Waltini’s, offers a casual fine dining experience. The chef of Waltini creates a “fusion of the Americas” joining California fresh, Gulf coast Cajun and New England sea food with Latin American variety and Costa Rican specialties.
It also a full service bar, offering tropical rum drinks blended with fresh fruit, mouthwatering margaritas or savory Siberian made with ice cream and chocolate and more.
All guest rooms have the following amenities:
King-size orthopedic bed, private bath with shower, air-conditioning, ceiling fans, mini-refrigerator, in-room safe, coffee maker with complimentary coffee, continental or tropical breakfast included, decorated with native art and pottery
Rooms with cable TV available upon request, subject to availability. These rooms also have DVD/CD player.
All rooms at the hotel have one king-size bed. However the hotel can add a roll-away bed in certain rooms. These rooms have an adjoining door to the room next door. These two-room configuration sleeps a maximum 5 persons (2 king beds + 1 roll-away).
The hotel also offers to their registered guests free access to high speed internet connection for those traveling with their laptops.

Playa Grande
From San Jose: At the Juan Santamaría International Airport get on the Pan American Highway (Hwy 1) north toward Liberia/Peñas Blancas for about 250 Kilometers (follow the road signs). In Liberia you will come to a four way traffic signal. Turn left (west), and continue driving toward Santa Cruz/Tamarindo. Shortly after passing through Filadelfia, make a right turn toward Tamarindo/Playa Grande/Hacienda Pinilla. After about 20 minutes, you will go over a steep hill and come to a cross-roads town called Huacas. The signs will say to turn left to go to Tamarindo, but you will continue straight for another 5-8 minutes until you reach a small town with a soccer field called Matapalo. Following the signs to Playa Grande, you will turn left immediately after passing the soccer field. The road will turn to dirt and you will continue for about 10 minutes. When you arrive in Playa Grande follow the signs towards Hotel Bula Bula (you will stay left at the first sign and turn left at the second). Bula Bula is at the south end of the beach in a community called Palm Beach Estates.
