How to get there: There are three different routes to get to Turrialba from San Jose:

1.The main access route leads from San Jose passing through Cartago, Paraíso, Cervantes, and Juan Viñas. The road is in a very good shape and the traveler will be able to enjoy breathtaking landscapes as well as several plantations, restaurants and bars that provide excellent service.

2.The other route passes the outskirts of the Irazú and Turrialba volcanoes, passing through Cartago, Pacayas, and Santa Cruz de Turrialba, a place that is famous for the authentic Turrialba cheese.

3.Another route is through Paraíso, the Valley of Orosí, and then through Tucurrique until arriving to the city of Turrialba.
