Location: Tortuguero
How to get there: Driving from San José, take the Atlantic Coast highway # 32 that passes through Braulio Carrillo National Park, Guápiles , Siquirres and Matina. There are no roads to Tortuguero, so you must take an exciting boat trip through the Tortuguero Canals. A hotel embarkation will pick you up either at Matina, Siquirres or Caño Blanco, depending on water level.

Samoa Lodge & Resort is located in the middle of the tropical jungle of Tortuguero, where the flora and fauna create a spectacular natural scene. From Samoa, guests can easily reach the rainforest, the Tortuguero National Park and the nesting site of the green turtle.
The lodge's wood cabins have a traditional Caribbean style: standing on stilts with palm thatched roofs and bamboo furniture. The restaurant offers delicious International dishes as well as great Carribean cuisine. Samoa`s swimming pool is surrounded by green gardens and it is perfect for a fresh plunge after an exciting tour through Tortuguero.
From the comfort of their wooden cabin, guests will be able to listen to the jungle as they rest peacefully in bed. They can take leisure walks through the lodge's private gardens or wake up early in the morning and search for different species of birds . Visitors will enjoy all the wonders there are to see in a short period of time.

Activities: Day 01 San José – Tortuguero
Early morning pick up for the drive through Braulio Carrillo National Park to the canals lining the Atlantic Coast, where the three-hour boat trip to Tortuguero starts. A typical breakfast is served on the way. Tortuguero National Park preserves 21,000 hectares of tropical rain forest. The lodge will schedule boat trips into the jungle for wildlife observation with a local tour guide. (B/L/D)
Day 02 Tortuguero National Park
Morning and afternoon boat trips through the canals of Tortuguero. (B/L/D)
Day 03 Tortuguero – San José
After breakfast, return by boat to the dock near Limón, then overland to San José through Braulio Carrillo again. A typical lunch is served on the way. Your client may choose to fly back to San José. (B/L)
Food & Beverages: The lodge’s restaurant offer international and great Caribbean cuisine. Caribbean dishes usually include coconut milk and spices like ginger and curry. Grated coconut is used in many desserts and cakes.
