Splendidly isolated in the small community of Drake Bay, The Jinetes de Osa Hotel is a comfortable refuge right by the ocean, just one hour by boat on the Rio Sierpe and through the mangroves, or on a direct flight into Drake Bay.
During the months of December-May you can eat your breakfast on the deck of the dining room while watching the humpback whales migrate across the bay. The rooms are simple, comfortable and clean. At night, the fresh tropical breeze carries the sound of the ocean into your room; a most effective cure for stress based insomnia.
Rooms:
Rooms at Jinetes de Osa are exceptionally clean and comfortable. The standard rooms offer ceiling fans, queen beds, and decent views from the main building. But if you stay in the standard rooms, you will share a bathroom with other guests.
The superior rooms at Jinetes de Osa are a bit nicer than the standard rooms, and have private bathrooms. The Superior Rooms are not much more expensive than the regular rooms, so we recommend these rooms when staying at Jinetes de Osa
Features: Bird Watching
Food & Beverages: Fresh baked bread, fresh fish from the local fishermen, and wonderfully ripe local fruits (you can't get fruit this fresh, ripe, or juicy in the States for love or money), supplement the Mexican and Italian dishes served in the dining room. It just may be the clean air, the exercise, or the fact that you just picked the juiciest mango on a hike around the bay, but food simply tastes better on the Osa Peninsula.
