During this 8-days-itinerary you will experience the essence of Panama. Historical sites, a stunning train ride, the fascinating Panama Canal as well as the exuberant nature and coffee plantations around Boquete. And, of course, the white sand beaches and turquoise waters of Bocas del Toro Archipelago with plenty of opportunities to relax.
Day 1, Thursday: Arrival in Panama City

Upon arrival to Panama you will be met at the airport by our representative and transferred to your city hotel.

Day 2, Friday: Panama Railroad and Portobelo historic site
:
Today you will be transported by road to the town of Portobelo on the Atlantic coast which has a fascinating pirate history. Here you will find out about the exploits of Henry Morgan and his pursuit of silver and gold. In the afternoon you will ride on the train back to Panama City. This ocean-to-ocean route runs adjacent to the Canal and offers superb views of the engineering wonder. The train traverses the water on causeways that link the small islands dotting the lake, with suitable impressive views. We have the chance to spot crocodiles, monkeys and toucans en route.
This tour includes: English speaking guide, transfers, entrance fees to the sites and lunch.

Day 3, Saturday: Partial Canal Transit

Today you will enjoy a partial crossing of the historic Panama Canal. You will learn a lot about the canal's history and will see huge ships manoeuvring through. Lunch will be served on the ship.
This full day tour includes: English speaking guide, lunch and transfers.

Day 4, Sunday: Panama City - David - Boquete

Local transfer from your hotel to Panama City domestic airport and local flight from Panama City to David. Upon arrival to David our representative will transfer you to Boquete. Check in at Panamonte Inn & Spa.

Day 5, Monday: Coffee Tour in Boquete

Today you will visit a coffee plantation at either Finca Lerida or Casa Ruiz where you can learn about the process of coffee cultivation and have the chance to sample some different bean varieties. The afternoon is free for optional hiking in the cloud forest

Day 6, Tuesday: Boquete - Bocas del Toro

Local Transfer from Boquete to Isla Colon on pristine Bocas del Toro archipelago.
Overnight at Punta Caracol, breakfast, tea and dinner included.
Day 7, Wednesday: Leisure Day at Bocas del Toro
:
Free day at leisure to spend in Bocas del Toro. Take one of the optional tours such as snorkeling, dolphin watching or hiking or just relax at the beach.
Overnight at Punta Caracol, breakfast, tea and dinner included.
Day 8, Thursday: Bocas del Toro - Panama City
:
Local Flight from Bocas del Toro back to Panama City. Upon arrival you will be transferred either to your city hotel or to the international airport for your flight home.

What to Bring:
- Clothing: Panama is a very informal and casual country. Formal attire is only used in Panama City and on very special occasions (Weddings, birthdays, anniversaries)
- We recommend to bring a sweater for the highland areas, and light loose fitting shirts, pants or jeans, and shorts for the lowland areas.
- For the beach areas please don't forget to bring a hat or cap, sunscreen, and sun glasses.
- For the rainforest and the National Parks we recommend hiking boots, a small backpack, water bottle, pocket knife, flashlight, insect repellent, rainwear, and a pair of binoculars to observe animals.
