Panama City Nature & History

My description My description My description My description My description
4 Days / 3 Nights

This Getaway Package combines the best of Panama City's Nature and History. Your hotel - the small but precious Canal House - is located in the heart of the City's colonial part, the Casco Antiguo. On two tours you will learn about the history of the different eras of Panama and enjoy the exuberant nature at Soberania National Park and on Gatun Lake.

Day 01 Arrival to Panama City :
Upon arrival to Panama you will be met at the airport by our representative and transferred to your city hotel. Panama City is the capital and largest city in Panama. It is home to a diverse blend of cultures and a vast historical sector in the Old City, a district famous for its Spanish fortifications and several colonial buildings. Panama City is a location you will surely enjoy during your visit to this gorgeous country! Your hotel for the next three nights is the Canal House, a small but precious hotel in midst of the City's colonial part, the Casco Antiguo. Many fine restaurants are just a few steps away.
Overnight at the Canal House, Pedro Miguel Suite, breakfast included.

Day 02 Panama Historic City Tour :
Today you take a private tour through this cosmopolitan city with emphasis on historical sites and buildings. The most important stops on the tour are Panama Viejo - the Old Panama - and the Colonial part called Casco Antiguo. Old Panama was founded in 1519 and the first settlement on the Pacific coast of the Americas. 1671 the notorious English buccaneer Henry Morgan looted and completely destroyed this City. In the same decade, a new Panama City was constructed 10 kilometers away on a better suited place - today's Casco Antiguo. In the Casco Antiguo you will view the main buildings and landmarks as the President's Palace, the remarkable cathedral and the San Jose church with its splendorous altar.
Overnight at the Canal House, Pedro Miguel Suite, breakfast included.

Day 03 Soberania National Park and Lake Gatun Boat Ride :
In the morning you will break up to the Soberania National Park. There you will walk for about an hour the "El Charco" track with the opportunity to spot a whole variety of birds and mammals. Afterwards you will drive to Gamboa, a little village about 20 minutes away, where you will enjoy a boat ride on the Gatun Lake for about three hours. Gatun Lake is a big artificial lake and a big part of the Panama Canal. On the boat ride you will see different animals and some of the huge vessels crossing the Panama Canal.
Overnight at the Canal House, Pedro Miguel Suite, breakfast included.

Day 04 Departure (B) :
You will be transferred to the Tocumen Airport for your international flight.
