This beautiful luxury Lodge is located on the Indio River just a
two-hour boat ride away from the Costa Rican boarder on the Nicaraguan Caribbean coast. The exciting boat ride to the lodge already allows you to see plenty of wildlife. Once you get to the lodge you feel overwhelmed by the beauty of the surroundings. There isn't any other lodge close to the Río Indio Lodge, you feel like having the whole jungle for yourself! The rooms are connected to the Lodge by thatched-roof walkways. I was especially surprised by the size of the rooms. They are very big and are beautifully decorated to fit the surrounding environment. All of the standard rooms have a big balcony as well as a small one from where you can perfectly observe wildlife. The bathrooms are very spacious and have a big mirror. The Lodge offers various activities such as birding walks, natural history hikes, kayaking, horseback riding, sportfishing, river and beach exploration and more. Not to be forgotten, the excellent cuisine with a big variety of delicious
deserts!
