Day 01, Sunday: Arrival in Panama City

Upon arrival to Panama you will be met at the airport by our representative and transferred to your city hotel.

Day 02, Monday: Panama City Tour
:
Today you will enjoy a city tour through the capital. First you will see the sky scrapers, mansions and a traditional market. Then you will head towards the colonial part of the city: Casco Antiguo, where you can see several historical buildings. Then you will continue to the Causeway with magnificent views of the city and the canal. A final stop will be held at the Miraflores Locks of the Panama Canal, a unique spot to see the huge vessels being lifted or lowered a total of 16 meters.

Day 03, Tuesday: Embera Indians
:
Today you will go together with your English speaking guide into the heart of the Chagres National Park and visit an indigenous tribe whose way of life has been virtually unchanged for hundreds of years. You learn about their culture and take a peek into the daily life of an Indian village. You will also enjoy a typical lunch at the Indian tribe.

Day 04, Wednesday: To Gamboa
:
Spend the morning at leisure in your hotel or take a walk along the Amador Causeway to enjoy the stunning views on passing container ships and the amazing skyline of Panama City. In the afternoon you will be transferred to Gamboa, a small village from the time of the construction of the Panama Canal. The next three nights you will spend at the Gamboa Rainforest Resort in midst of the tropical rainforest and with relaxing views on Lake Gatun and the Chagres River. After dinner you take an interesting nocturnal safari to familiarize yourself with the species of the rain forest. It is possible to spot tapirs, capybaras, alligators, rare tropical opossums, and two-toed sloths

Day 05, Thursday: Gamboa - Monkey Island Tour
:
Today you will take a boat tour through the Panama Canal into secret waterways to find hidden islands that are the favorites of monkeys. Cappuccino monkeys and howler monkeys can be seen leaping in the trees above. Occasionally, they become curious of visitors and venture down to take a closer look. This tour provides a unique opportunity for viewing wild monkeys in their natural habitat, but as closely as you would in a zoo. Other animals you can spot in this tour include lazy sloths sleeping in trees, stoic alligators and turtles that are native to the lake. The boat ride to and from the island passes through the Panama Canal, giving you the chance to spot huge container ships during their passage across the world.

Day 06, Friday: Free day in Gamboa

Day 07, Saturday: Panama Canal Partial Transit - to El Valle
:
Today you will enjoy a partial crossing of the historic Panama Canal, where you will learn about the canal's history and see huge ships maneuvering through. You will start in Gamboa and pass the Locks of Pedro Miguel and Miraflores. Lunch will be served on the ship. After arriving in Panama City you will be transferred to the tranquil village of El Valle, set in an extinct volcano crater. Here you stay for two nights at charming family run guest house Park Eden with lush garden setting.

Day 08, Sunday: El Valle
:
A free day to explore the El Valle area which is ringed by the lip of the former volcano. Here there are hiking, horse riding, biking and bird watching opportunities and plenty of flowering plants bloom in its "eternal spring" micro-climate. There are small scale local amusements including some natural thermal water, mud baths, petroglyphs and a waterfall plus the delights of must visit gourmet restaurant "Los Mandarinos".

Day 09, Monday: To Playa Blanca
:
Spend the morning relaxing at El Valle. In the afternoon you will be transferred down to Panamas Pacific Coast to enjoy a few days at the white sand beach.

Days 10 - 12: Playa Blanca
Free days to enjoy the numerous facilities of Playa Blanca Resort. Participate in one of the many activities offered by the hotel or just spend a relaxing day at the beautiful pacific beach.

Day 13, Friday: To Panama City
:
Enjoy the morning at Playa Blanca Resort. After lunch you will be transferred back to Panama City. Enjoy the last night out in this cosmopolitan city often likened to Miami.

What to Bring:
- Clothing: Panama is a very informal and casual country. Formal attire is only used in Panama City and on very special occasions (Weddings, birthdays, anniversaries)
- We recommend to bring a sweater for the highland areas, and light loose fitting shirts, pants or jeans, and shorts for the lowland areas.
- For the beach areas please don't forget to bring a hat or cap, sunscreen, and sun glasses.
