Day 01 Arrival / San Jose Airport :
Arrival. Meet and greet at the international airport and transfer to Bougainvillea for your first night in Costa Rica.

Overnight at the Bougainvillea hotel. Standard room. Breakfast included.

Day 02 Poas Volcano – Doka Coffee Tour & La Paz Waterfall Gardens :
To get to the different attractions included during this excursion we will drive by the city of Alajuela passing by the Agriculture Monument, the Monument to Juan Santamaria and the famous Mango Park. As we ascend towards the Poás Volcano we will notice the change in temperature and vegetation; we will see coffee plantations as well as fern, flower and strawberry farms along the way, creating a beautiful landscape. On the way to the volcano we will visit Doka Coffee Estate for a delicious breakfast and a coffee tour, in an actual coffee plantation where we will learn about the ancient techniques used by the experts to produce one of the best coffees in Costa Rica. Learn about the careful process involved on the cultivation, harvesting and roasting of the Golden Bean. After the coffee tour we will continue to Poás Volcano where we will not only admire the impressive main crater with its sulfur fumaroles, but also learn about the different ecosystems in this beautiful national park. Following the visit to the volcano we will continue to La Paz Water Fall Garden for lunch and tour. On arrival to the La Paz, we will walk through a trail, leading to a spectacular waterfall in the middle of the rainforest. Inside the park we will also visit the hummingbird gallery, the serpentarium, the bird house, the butterfly garden and the frog’s exhibit.

Day 03 San Jose - Arenal :
After breakfast, a representative from Costa Rican Trails will take you on private transfer to the Arenal area.

Arenal’s perfectly symmetrical shape makes it a sightseer’s dream, while its abundance of outdoor activities makes it an easy place to check things off your “must-do in Costa Rica” list. So visit one of the nicest volcanoes in Costa Rica, cloud forests, a lake world-famous for windsurfing and an incredibly diverse population of wildlife is just part of what you will find in this amazing area of Costa Rica.

In the afternoon - Shared Hike to Arenal Volcano & Ecotermales Hot Springs
Late afternoon visit to the trails of El Silencio and the volcanic thermal mineral pools at Tabacon Hot Springs , where you can enjoy a healthy and relaxing soak and enjoy of a delicious dinner.
Includes: Transportation, naturalist guide, entrance fee to hot springs & dinner.

Day 04 Cano Negro Wildlife Refuge :
A fascinating boat trip through a tropical wilderness, located in the North Atlantic lowland tropical forest. Cano Negro Wildlife Refuge is considered to be one of the richest sites for birdwatchers in this continent.

Overnight at the Hotel Arenal Paraiso, deluxe room, Breakfast included.

Day 05 Arenal - Monteverde :
Early in the morning, you will experience a lake crossing transfer towards Monteverde area.

Monteverde was founded about 40 years ago by a small group of conservation-minded Quakers who were looking for a peaceful place to live. The Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve is one of the most outstanding wild life sanctuaries in the tropics. This high elevation rain forest offers miles of trails with excellent opportunities for bird watching. The resplendent Quetzal is often sighted up here (mostly January to July). It is for this reason that more visitors are attracted to this private reserve than to any other in Costa Rica.

In the afternoon, you will be picked up at the hotel to start your Sky Walk Tour.
Sky Walk is a system of trails, suspension bridges, built within the Monteverde Cloud Forest that offers visitors the opportunity to observe and appreciate tropical forests from different vantage points.

Day 6 Horseback Ride :
Enjoy a wonderful horseback ride tour through different sceneries of Santa Elena area. You'll pass through some secondary forest as well as open fields. Enjoy the beautiful mountain views, as well as the fresh clean mountain air!

Afternoon at leisure.

Day 07 Monteverde - Manuel Antonio :
After breakfast,private transfer to the world famous Manuel Antonio.

Considered to be Costa Rica's most beautiful, Manuel Antonio Park has enchanting white-sand beaches ideal for swimming, and tropical rainforest forest alive with wildlife. Watch for the monkeys and iguanas who share the park with you. Most hotels are small and intimate, set high on a hill overlooking the rain forest, endless beaches and the national park. Day 08 Catamaran Coastal Adventure Tour :
Sail aboard the Tom Cat or the Spanish Dancer. Come aboard and see the many dolphins, whales, sea turtles, and birds of the Manuel Antonio Marine Preserve. The tour includes snorkeling equipment and a tour of the offshore islands . We also stop for a leisurely swim at one of the white sand beaches and dive on the underwater reefs of the Manuel Antonio Marine Preserve. Enjoy a feast of fresh fruits, grilled fish brochettes, pasta salad, drinks and the finest hospitality. We offer your choice of a morning sail into the Manuel Antonio Marine Preserve or a sunset sail.

Overnight at the Hotel Parador, Garden plus room, Breakfast included.

Day 09 Manuel Antonio - San Jose :
After lunch, private transfer back to San Jose.

Overnight at Rodeo Country Inn, superior room. Breakfast included.

Day 10 Departure :
Transfer will be provided to the International Airport.
