NEWS ABOUT THE ARENAL VOLCANO
The Arenal Volcano is one of the main attractions in Costa Rica in area of La Fortuna, due to its beauty and its impressive conic shape. The Arenal Volcano has been always very active with lava eruptions and plenty of smoke and gases. However, it has recently decreased its seismic activity a little bit. The Volcano continues to expel smoke and gases, but the sporadic explosions of lava in the crater are not visible at this time.
NEW AIRPORT TAX IN COSTA RICA
Starting this October 01st, 2011, there will be an increase of $2.00 in the airport taxes, for the scanning, X ray and/or inspection of luggage. This tax applies to all passengers leaving the country by air transportation.
