Basic Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival – San Jose :
Meet & Greet at the airport. Transfer will be then provided to the city hotel of your choice.Transfer Airport – City hotel.

Overnight at hotel of your choice in San Jose. (pre-booked) Breakfast included.

Day 2 San Jose – Flexi Drive. :
Briefing at the Hotel and discussion of the best route and choices of hotels.

A Daihatsu Terios 4x4 or similar will be delivered at the hotel and then you are off to explore Costa Rica on your own.

Overnight at hotel of your choice.

Day 3 – 7 Flexi Drive :
Drive through scenic Costa Rica and full fill all your desires and interests

Flexi Tours
This is how it works:
If the you decide to book the Flexi Tour program, we will provide the list of tours available in each destination and then you are off to explore on your own! There will be plenty of tours in each destination covering almost the entire country.

You go as you please, choosing tours you want to do from the category you selected. The only condition is that you book as you go, you have to book a day before you want to take the tour. When calling you must identify yourself as a Costa Rican Trails client with the Flexi Tour Program.
In each main area, there is a choice of different tours for all tastes, so if one tour is not available, there is a very good chance that another tour will have space in the same area.

Overnight at hotels of your choice. (based on the taken category). Breakfast included. (unless otherwise specified)

Day 8 Departure :
Drive to the International Airport; drop off car and departure flight.

Enjoy nature and help the environment taking a green tour in Costa Rica.

What to Bring:

Clothing: Costa Rica is a very informal and casual country. Formal attire is only used in the city of San Jose and on very special occasions (Weddings, birthdays, anniversaries)
We recommend to bring a sweater for the highland areas, and light loose fitting shirts, pants or jeans, and shorts for the lowland areas.
For the beach areas please don't forget to bring a hat or cap, sunscreen, and sun glasses.
For the rainforest and the National Parks we recommend hiking boots, a small backpack, water bottle, pocket knife, flashlight, insect repellent, rainwear, and a pair of binoculars to observe animals.
